A Routing and Filtering Powerhouse

Built to perform and easy to use, PLEXUS:4 makes selective connections between MIDI DIN, USB Host and USB Devices, and places those selections right at your fingertips. A variety of Filters and Poly Chain features can be configured without the use of a computer, and each setting can be stored and recalled from 128 Presets. Housed in an aluminum enclosure and built strong for demanding environments.

  • Intuitive Routing UI

    Split and Merge each input with each output using the 4x4 Matrix of lighted buttons. Gives a clear indication of what messages are going where.

  • 3x3 MIDI DIN I/O

    3 opto-coupled MIDI DIN Inputs and 3 MIDI DIN Outputs provide connections to the massive amount of MIDI DIN compatible gear on the market.

  • USB Host Connector

    Connect class-compliant USB MIDI devices to the USB Host port without the need for a computer. Up to 8 USB Devices are supported with the use of a USB Hub.

  • USB Device Connector

    Connect to a computer using the class-compliant USB MIDI Device port. Creates a new 1x1 MIDI USB Interface in software applications.

  • Connection Bridge

    Pass MIDI messages between DIN, USB Host and USB Device connections. PLEXUS:4 is a MIDI connection problem solver.

  • Quad Filter Engine

    Block and modify MIDI Messages on each of the 4 outputs independently. Can be used like 4 stand-alone filter boxes. No computer is required to configure or manage filters.

  • Power Connector

    Dedicated Barrel-style connector for 9v power. Plenty of juice for itself and for powering another device connected to the USB Host port.

  • 32-bit Processing

    Blazing fast processing of signals with a best-in-class latency of just slightly above 1 ms, regardless of how many filters or routes are added.

  • Status Monitoring

    Buttons on the 4x4 Matrix will light different colors indicating when a message is being passed, modified or blocked.

  • Presets

    128 Presets can store every Route and Filter setting for instant recall. 16 Presets can be recalled using the UI and all 128 can be recalled over MIDI.

  • Keyboard Splitting

    Send notes to different synths based on the pitch or the velocity of the note played. Easily divide any keyboard into performance enhancing zones.

  • Poly Chaining

    Incoming notes can be distributed, round-robin, to different outputs. Play several monophonic synths as one polyphonic synth.

  • Clock Division

    Divide an incoming MIDI Clock to create slower tempos. Seven division settings are available for each output independently.

  • Poly Channel

    Incoming notes on a MIDI Channel can be distributed, round robin, between several MIDI Channels for another type of mono/poly setup using only 1 input and 1 output.

  • Remote Control

    MIDI Commands can be used to control features and settings remotely, including message routing, filtering, poly chaining and preset loading.

Filter Types (per Output)

  • By Channel

    Block any of the 16 MIDI Channels. This is the highest priority Filter. If a MIDI Channel is being blocked, then no messages received on that Channel will make it into any other Filters or to the selected Output.

  • Channel Map

    Map any of the 16 MIDI Channels to any other MIDI Channel. Messages will be mapped to their new Channel before any other Filtering takes place.

  • Convert

    Transform messages on a channel between Note, CC and PC data types, or block one of those data types completely.

  • Clock

    Remove all MIDI Clock data.

  • Clock Divide

    Slow the BPM of incoming clock data.

  • Transport

    Block all Transport messages. Transport messages consist of MIDI Start, Stop, Continue & Song Position.

  • Note High & Low

    Block Notes that are below and above a set threshold on a specific MIDI Channel. Up to four (4) Channels can be set for blocking on each output.

  • Velocity High & Low

    Block Notes based on their Velocity that are below and above a set threshold on a specific MIDI Channel. Up to four (4) Channels can be set for blocking on each output.

  • Note Transpose

    Transpose Notes on a MIDI Channel up or down in halftone increments.

  • Poly Channel

    Distribute notes in round-robin from 1 MIDI Channel to several others MIDI Channels.

  • Pitch

    Block Pitch Bend messages on specific MIDI Channels.

  • After Touch

    Block all After Touch data by MIDI Channel. After Touch messages consist of Poly Key Pressure and Channel Pressure.

  • System Exclusive

    Block System Exclusive messages on specific MIDI Channels.
