Let customers speak for us
from 20 reviewsI watched all tutorials of it and was a bit hesitant if it would be so easy to work it on the fly without a computer as I wished. The reason for getting this is that I wanted something that I wouldn't have to prep on a computer.
To my surprise after getting into it and using it the UI quickly made sense and it sorted out the issues of my current setup and also added some possibilities to it.
The build quality is sturdy, customer service splendid and overall happy with my purchase.
My usage for this is for live shows. I have a polysynth which I want to use along with some modules. Playing several roles in the band I need to divide my keyboard to many different sounds and this helped where my polysynth wasn't able. Playing live also means transporting all gear and this unit saved me from needing to add yet another keyboard to lug around.
On some songs I play drums as well as keys, and the transpose function helped me even add a melody on top of the bass I play while my other hand is occupied with the drums. And all of that I could fogure out in the rehearsal space without a computer.
Sure, other similar devices could probably do even more advanced stuff but then that needs to be prepped on a computer. I dont use a computer live so the Plexus still wins as the best tool for the stage for me.

i had a simple, but stupid, clocking problem that i was unable to solve via other means. found this bad boy online, and it took care of that problem immediately. great stuff!

The unit is great, but the support is even better. We got a Korg Kaosss Replay doing things Korg said it wouldn’t do. Couldn’t have done it without JMK support!

At first I got this just as a master clock but its so much more, it has opened new doors with my synths and can be tinkered with live as if it was an instrument. Sending the metronome through effect pedals turns it into a rhythm accompaniment too.

nice and compact.
perfect fit for a box driven studio
thx

I've been using it a bit and it is exactly what I needed!

Perfect compact splitter. Did exactly what I needed it to. Great customer service too.

I’ve been using this pretty extensively since I got it, and it is absolutely brilliant. I was worried setting the tempo would be difficult, but it’s so easy. Reading the tempo is the same way. The click sounds are great. The midi send is flawless. It’s really well-made. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this thing. No financial interest either, I was not paid for this, and I paid for the pedal with my own money. I’m super excited to dive deeper into it.

Item delivered as described, shipped promptly and well packaged

At last,
a piece of gear which is intuitive, with a very well thought UI, providing a tight grip between different machines ….
And on top of all this…Reliable !
I use it for syncing my time based pedals, with a DAW while monitoring with the metronome.
Yes it is a metronome too, and a really elaborate one!
I have to say, this thing works like a charm!
There are quite a few similar products in this niche,
but this is a different beast!
Joe is running the whole show,
a really great guy who knows what he’s talking about, providing excellent customer service and technical support … what more to say,
I am really happy with it !!!
Greetings and respect from Crete-Greece!

This device can solve most any midi routing or filtering problem and recalls its settings like patches by receiving program change messages . I am using it in my live rig and in the studio. This device has been needed since midi began. The alternatives to this are not even in the ballpark for price and functionality. Thank you JMK

Love this device!
I use it to sequence multiple synths in a live band setup with drums, bass, guitar, etc. I was searching for a DAWless solution to provide my drummer with a click track and solve some minor latency issues I was encountering while daisy-chaining my synths—this device was the perfect fix! It’s intuitive and easy to learn, and I especially love that I can keep the click running even when not sequencing, then sync the sequences with the click when the song calls for it. It’s also fantastic that it works seamlessly with my semi-modular synths. After searching online, I still haven't found another device that offers a dedicated click track. This feature is a game-changer!

If you are having a lot of midi issues with a mess of cables this is a great compact solution unlike any other on the market. Well worth the value and quick customer support

I have a bedroom studio with very limited space and mainly needed something small that I could use to route MIDI back and forth between a couple of synths and grooveboxes without having to constantly go into settings menus and change the routing manually on each device.
The Plexus 4 was perfect for my situation. It's smaller than a guitar pedal so it fits nicely in my cramped quarters and will be great for live purposes. It does all of the basic MIDI routing and filtering stuff I needed it to do as well as working as a USB host, and with the MAJOR benefit that all of the setup can be done directly on the device without needing to plug it into my laptop and use software to configure it. The UI is very well designed--surprisingly intuitive for just being a grid of backlit buttons.
Besides its great set of features, the device itself is rock solid and I haven't encountered a single bug or any weird behavior while using it so far. Truly a fully realized product, which is rare for something I bought on pre-order (and with mention from the designer of possible new features and updates that could be added via firmware).
If you're looking for something compact and 100% fuss free for MIDI, this is it.
